The Memory of Water
Drypoint

Bas-relief created using the drypoint technique, which takes its title from the 1988 theory by French immunologist Jacques Benveniste about water's ability to retain "memory" at a molecular level. Although controversial within the scientific community, this theory reignited interest in the metaphysical possibilities of water, particularly regarding memory.
This piece invites us to imagine the composition of the world around us—from the water we drink to that which forms the structure of plants, continents, animals, and our own bodies—prompting us to question a world of memories beyond the visible. It is part of a series of works dedicated to exploring modern science.
